Finance transactions

- We advised Credito Real with the issuance of a US$400 million senior unsecured notes.
- We acted as lead counsel to Promerica Financial Corporation in connection with its first US issuance of notes worth US$200 million.
- We advised Tocumen International Airport in $225 million bond issue.
- We represented Multibank, Inc. in its first international debt offer.
Banco General Bond Issuance
Alcogal represented Banco General, S.A. in a US$250 million corporate bond issuance.
Alcogal represented Grupo Mundial Tenedora, S.A. and Banvivienda in an exchange process of non-accumulative preferred shares. Partner Arturo Gerbaud, along with associate Rafael Marquínez, were in charge of this transaction. The transaction closed in July 2017.
Alcogal advised Banco General, S.A. as arranger in connection with the structuring and registration of a US$250 million corporate bonds issuance by Inmobiliaria Don Antonio, S.A., a subsidiary of Rey Holdings, Corp., in connection with the issuance and the registration with the Superintendence of Capital Markets, of the corporate bonds being issued. To this date, this is one of the largest bond issuances by a company from the supermarket and grocery stores/food retail sector in Panama.
